Blake Treinen is out for the season after injuring his shoulder while warming up in the bullpen in San Francisco on Saturday, Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said. His absence further reduces Los Angeles’ late-inning options ahead of the postseason.
Treinen returned earlier this month after right-elbow inflammation kept him off the mound in July and August. He made seven appearances after returning, allowing three earned runs in 6.2 innings, and finishes 4-1 with a 3.64 ERA in 29.2 innings.
A three-time World Series champion with the Dodgers, Treinen threw 2.1 scoreless innings in Game 5 of the 2024 World Series and was the winning pitcher in the title-clinching victory over the Yankees.
