Seth and Tori Bolt welcomed their second child, son Tennessee, on Sept. 16 at 7 p.m., 10 days before his due date. Tori said her unmedicated birth followed an IVF journey and was supported by Seth, a doula, a midwife and a nurse who served as a mindset coach.

The couple’s 3-year-old daughter, Amma, is happy to be a big sister, Seth said; she wants to hold, feed and sing to the baby and calls him “Tenn Penn.” Seth said Tennessee was chosen for its connection to the state where they live and to Amma’s Cherokee heritage, and that it comes from Tanasi, a Cherokee word meaning “where the waters meet.”
