Sennheiser’s Momentum TW5 earbuds cost $300 in the US and let users replace batteries in the buds and case with a supplied tool. Sennheiser says playback runs up to 12 hours per charge and up to six hours with noise cancelling on, down from seven on the TW4.
The TW5’s case is slimmer and lighter than the TW4’s, though its former fabric exterior is now plastic; it can provide three additional full charges. At $300 in the US, the new model costs more than Apple’s $249 AirPods Pro 3 and roughly matches Sony’s WF-1000XM6. In Europe, the TW4 is discounted to €150, half the TW5’s €300 price.
The review praises the TW5’s clean bass, separation of midrange sounds and improved wind-noise suppression. Its snug, ear-filling fit blocks noise passively but may be uncomfortable during long sessions for some users with smaller ears; transparency mode falls slightly short of recent AirPods Pro models.
