Tamera Mowry-Housley will guest-star in Season 2 of ABC’s “Scrubs” revival as Dr. Steffie, a pediatrician who tries to persuade Tosh (Ava Bunn) to specialize in pediatrics. The season opens with back-to-back episodes Wednesday, Sept. 30, at 8/7c.
Zach Braff, Donald Faison and Sarah Chalke return as J.D., Turk and Elliot, while Bunn has been promoted to series regular. Scott Foley also joins the cast as Sean. Joel Kim Booster and X Mayo, who starred in Season 1, will not return.
The season’s official description says J.D., Turk and Elliot are now respected doctors who inspire the next generation while navigating hospital work. The article also says Dr. Cox was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease at the end of Season 1; where his health journey leads in Season 2 remains an open question.
