Blythe Howard debuted on “General Hospital” on Sept. 23 as Monet Mitchell, a new lawyer revealed to be Jordan Ashford’s sister. Howard says the characters are estranged, and their shared history is unfolding as the story progresses.
Howard describes Monet as strong and determined, willing to step on toes to get what she wants. She says Monet knows her own angle, while the other characters do not. Howard, who had not worked in daytime TV before, called the production pace a whirlwind but said colleagues were welcoming.
Howard and her sister Kesley, both cancer survivors, co-founded Chemo Queens to provide resources for people navigating cancer treatment and survivorship. The project has developed a patent-pending cold cap design.
