Scott Foley has been cast as the lead of Hulu’s political-drama pilot “Young Americans,” playing U.S. President Judd Burchfield. He is the only actor attached so far, and no premiere date has been announced.
The proposed series follows elite students at Capitol Crest Academy in Washington, D.C., whose teenage dramas echo their parents’ political games. A forbidden romance between students from opposing political families threatens to escalate tensions. Chris Hutton and Eddie O’Keefe wrote and executive-produced the pilot; Bruce Miller and Priscilla Poriand are also executive producers for White Oak, and 20th Television is the studio.
