Freida Parton said there is no family feud over Dolly Parton’s estate and that the family loves nephew Bryan Seaver. A Tennessee judge granted a temporary restraining order against Seaver after the estate accused him of sending threatening messages.
She's Alive LLC, run by longtime manager Danny Nozell, sought the order against Seaver and his security company, alleging that messages sent around Parton’s death threatened violence and damage to her legacy. Seaver, who had been Parton’s head of security, was fired by the estate last week. The order bars Seaver and his company from contacting or coming within 1,000 feet of She's Alive employees, attorneys and business partners; a hearing on extending it is set for Oct. 7. Seaver said the messages were taken out of context and were not threats, though he stood by most of them.
