Xander Schauffele welcomed U.S. President Donald Trump’s expected Presidents Cup appearance at Medinah this weekend, calling it “awesome” that Trump loves golf and supports the U.S. team. He said sport can bring people together across political differences.
Schauffele joked that the Secret Service may not have been pleased that Trump announced his destination in advance, but said they would keep him safe. Trump also attended the 2025 Ryder Cup and the Irish Open two weeks ago.
