Eagles running back Saquon Barkley expects to play against Chicago on Monday, The Inquirer reported. Mike Garafolo said checks after Barkley’s Week 2 stinger were OK. Barkley warmed up Thursday; his practice participation level was still unknown.
Barkley was injured on Philadelphia’s first offensive snap in its Week 2 win over Tennessee. He briefly returned in the third quarter, then watched the rest of the game from the sideline.
Tank Bigsby did not practice Thursday. He had 13 carries after Barkley’s injury, while Will Shipley logged more snaps despite six fewer carries. DeVonta Smith warmed up without pads, suggesting he may not have practiced; the report said workload management ahead of Monday was a possibility.
