The Atlanta Braves listed Ronald Acuña Jr. second in the batting order and in right field for their Sept. 25 opener against Miami. His availability follows a recent scare after he fouled a ball off his leg; manager Walt Weiss said he was initially concerned.
Atlanta clinched the National League's No. 3 playoff seed Thursday night and had lost two of three in its preceding series against Cincinnati. Acuña was batting .261 with 20 home runs, 55 RBIs and an .813 OPS; the Braves hoped to build momentum in the three-game Miami series before the playoffs next week.
