Retired FBI agent Steve Moore said Savannah Guthrie’s Tucson “Today” segment could be relevant to her mother Nancy’s abduction. It aired about three months before Nancy disappeared Feb. 1; Moore called a link possible but said it could be coincidence. Nancy remains missing.
In a Sept. 28 interview with NewsNation correspondent Brian Entin, Moore said the segment’s Oct. 17 filming and Nov. 5 broadcast could have helped a viewer narrow down Nancy’s neighborhood through locations shown. He said he would be surprised if the FBI were not examining the timing, but acknowledged it might have been random.
Nancy was last seen at her Catalina Foothills home on Jan. 31. Investigators released images of a masked suspect on her porch and published alleged ransom notes, but no suspect has been named. Savannah Guthrie has offered a $1 million reward for information leading to an arrest.
