Meta’s Ray-Ban Meta Gen 3 starts at $449, $70 more than Gen 2. It lasts up to nine hours per charge (one hour longer) and up to 50 hours with the case (two more); it adds a sixth microphone and new frames, while most announced software features also come to Gen 2.
Gen 3’s six-microphone array, up from five, has a redesigned layout that Meta says reduces background noise on calls and AI interactions; the improvement has yet to be tested in real-world use. Meta says listening to and recording Dolby Atmos spatial audio is due later in 2026. A new action button can launch Meta AI, capture images or trigger other shortcuts, while Gen 2’s button is camera-only.
Gen 3 adds Aviator and cat-eye Zena frame styles; Wayfarer is the only shape carried over from Gen 2. Older models will also get the FDA-cleared hearing-enhancement feature, Muse AI agent and dynamic photo capture, which takes multiple shots so users can choose the best framing.
