Invesco QQQ Trust has risen more than 20% in 2026, versus 13% for the S&P 500 and 16% for the Nasdaq Composite. Motley Fool credits its concentration in large growth and AI-linked stocks and says the fund could keep gaining.

QQQ tracks the Nasdaq-100, which includes the 100 largest nonfinancial stocks listed on Nasdaq. Its top positions are Nvidia (8.3%), Apple (7.4%), Microsoft (5.5%), Micron (5.1%) and AMD (4.2%). The article says the index’s concentration in growth stocks, quarterly rebalancing and annual reshuffling contribute to its growth focus; the ETF’s expense ratio is 0.18%.

Motley Fool’s case for further gains centers on AI exposure: it says Nvidia, Micron and AMD supply chips for AI clusters, Apple is adding AI features, and Microsoft’s Azure hosts generative-AI applications. The article flags near-term pressure from more cautious AI spending, tighter regulation and higher interest rates, but argues AI use could keep expanding over coming decades. It also cites analysts’ forecast of 60% annualized Nvidia EPS growth from fiscal 2026 to fiscal 2029.
