Qobuz makes its AI-music identifications visible with in-app tags

Forbes

Qobuz has added an in-app tag to tracks it identifies as AI-generated, making that status visible to listeners. The service says such tracks account for 0.38% of its streams; its human-curated playlists and featured selections exclude AI-generated music.

Qobuz says its anti-fraud systems currently deem 60% of streams from tracks it has identified as AI-generated fraudulent; those streams are excluded from rights-holders’ royalty payouts. It has also removed more than a third of AI-identified albums with no listening activity—covering four million tracks—from its search engine.

The in-house identification mechanism is part of Qobuz’s AI Charter, first published in February 2026 and now updated. The company says the charter will continue to evolve alongside technological and regulatory changes.
