Norman Powell watched from the bench and locker room as Bam Adebayo scored a Miami Heat-record 83 points against Washington on March 10, the NBA’s second-highest single-game total. Sidelined for treatment, Powell later recounted the night on a podcast.
Powell, Tyler Herro and Andrew Wiggins were sidelined that night. Adebayo scored 31 points in the first quarter, 12 in the second and 40 after halftime.
On the Numbers on the Board podcast, Powell said he was amazed by Adebayo’s performance and called seeing it live “insane.”
