West Yorkshire Police are seeking David Nutall, 38, from Rotherham, on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and motor vehicle theft after a wrong-way M1 crash near junction 41 left a man in his 20s with serious, potentially life-changing injuries.
Police believe Nutall was driving a blue Kia Proceed the wrong way on the M1 northbound near junction 41 shortly after 23:00 BST on 11 September. It collided with a red Dacia Sandero, West Yorkshire Police said.
An 18-year-old man, a 15-year-old girl and a 30-year-old woman were arrested at the scene and later bailed pending further inquiries, police said.
