PepsiCo plans low- to mid-single-digit percentage price increases on select snacks and some soft drinks by the end of 2026 or early 2027, including Lay’s, Doritos, Ruffles, SunChips, Tostitos salsa and Fritos canned dips. It has not released product-specific prices.
Some increases are already visible at Dollar General: an extra-large Tostitos salsa jar rose from $3.80 to $4.00, a larger jar from $4.95 to $5.50, and Fritos canned dips from $3.30 to $3.75, according to TipRanks. Retailers set shelf prices and promotions, so what shoppers pay will vary by store and region.
Earlier in 2026, PepsiCo cut suggested everyday prices for an 8-ounce Lay’s Classic bag to $4.29 from $4.99 and an 8.5-ounce Doritos bag to $5.49 from $6.29, saying the cuts aimed to win back shoppers trading down. PepsiCo said prices are still expected to remain below pre-cut levels after the planned increases. The company cited inflation; Reuters reported higher ingredient, packaging and logistics costs in the second half of the year. North American food sales fell 2% in the second quarter, CNBC reported.
