Wisconsin ruled four players out and listed five as questionable for Saturday against Penn State; Penn State’s initial report lists nine out and six questionable. Star receiver Koby Howard is among the Nittany Lions who will miss the game.
Wisconsin’s four players ruled out are cornerback Cai Bates, wide receiver Jaylon Domingeaux, offensive lineman Michael Roeske and defensive lineman Xavier Ukponu. Bates is out for the rest of the season. Abu Sama III, Malachi Coleman, Bryan Jackson II, Emerson Mandell and Ryan Schwendeman are questionable; linebacker Mason Posa, receiver Eugene Hilton, quarterback Danny O’Neil and lineman Kevin Heywood are probable. Sama said he would play Saturday, despite his questionable listing.
Penn State’s nine unavailable players are receiver Koby Howard, defensive linemen LaVar Arrington II, Max Granville, Mason Robinson and Dayshaun Barrett, cornerbacks Joshua Johnson and Tyler Armstead, offensive lineman Will Tompkins, and tight end Cooper Alexander. Six are questionable: Cam Smith, Christian Askew, Brock Riker, Dominic Rulli, Ethan Black and Andrew Rappleyea; safety Omarion Davis is probable. Big Ten teams must provide public injury updates starting four days before conference games; reports will be updated daily through kickoff.
