Meta shares climbed Thursday after its Muse AI chatbot launched. Market-panel speakers said Meta's reach through Instagram, Threads and WhatsApp could give Muse AI broad consumer exposure, and cited a voice-operated device planned for the holidays.
One panelist invoked a “3.6 billion people” moat; another said 70–80% of people in the U.S. touch a Meta product.
One speaker described the device as a speak-into “charm” and said its price was expected to be around a smartwatch’s, though they did not know whether an exact figure had been announced. They contrasted it with Apple’s foldable iPhone, saying they personally had not had interesting conversations about the phone, and called the moment a possible turning point for tech and AI—not a prediction that Muse would win.
