Green Bay’s 48-21 win over Atlanta in the 2010 NFC divisional playoff game, played Jan. 15, 2011, is revisited as the 1-1 Packers prepare to host the 0-2 Falcons in their 2026 home opener Thursday at 7:15 p.m. local time.
Green Bay entered as the NFC’s No. 6 seed at 10-6, while Atlanta was the 13-3 No. 1 seed and had beaten the Packers 20-17 earlier that season. After falling behind 14-7, Green Bay scored 35 unanswered points. Aaron Rodgers completed 31 of 36 passes for 366 yards and three touchdowns without an interception; Tramon Williams had two interceptions, including a 70-yard pick-six.
The Packers went on to beat Chicago 21-14 in the NFC Championship, then defeated Pittsburgh 31-25 in Super Bowl XLV. It was their first Super Bowl appearance since the 1997 season.
