Nick Chubb will sign a one-day contract with Cleveland to formally retire as a Brown after ending his playing career last month, and the team will honor him during Week 3 festivities. The Browns said he would return to the CrossCountry Mortgage Campus on Sept. 25.
Chubb spent one season with the Houston Texans after Cleveland drafted running backs Quinshon Judkins and Dylan Sampson in 2025, a move that led to his departure from the Browns.
His career totals included more than 7,300 rushing yards, 54 rushing touchdowns and 5.0 yards per carry. He made four Pro Bowls and was a second-team All-Pro in 2022.
