Netanyahu quoted Hassan Piker’s 9/11 remark while criticizing Mamdani

Benjamin Netanyahu did not present “America deserved 9/11” as his own view in a viral clip from his U.N. address; he was quoting commentator Hassan Piker while criticizing New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani. The six-second clip is real but omits that context.

The full address, published by The Hill on YouTube on Sept. 24, shows the exchange at 28:05. Before mentioning Piker, Netanyahu told Mamdani that many Jews no longer felt safe in New York and accused him of praising criminals convicted of supporting Hamas.
