Nene Royal won “America’s Got Talent” Season 21 on September 23, taking more viewer votes than the other nine finalists. The 16-year-old singer and guitarist from Phuket, Thailand, reached the finale after a Live Golden Buzzer let her skip the semifinals.
Royal is her stage name; her actual name is Rattikarn Amloy, and she grew up with the nickname Praew. She adopted the stage name at 12, began playing guitar at seven, is mostly self-taught and has played in two bands.
