Meta Platforms’ shares rose 11% on Monday as Muse gained popularity, putting its market value at $1.91 trillion. Motley Fool contributor Anthony Di Pizio says the company could reach $3 trillion by 2028, though rising AI infrastructure costs may weigh on earnings.

Meta launched Muse on Sept. 8 as a personalized AI agent that can use third-party apps with permission to write emails, book vacations and shop; it can also make payments at users’ request through Stripe’s Link wallet. Di Pizio argues the service could extend Meta’s reach beyond social media. About 3.6 billion people already use at least one Meta app daily, the article says.

Meta spent $72 billion on data centers in 2025; its latest guidance suggests spending could reach $145 billion in 2026. The outlays are depreciated over several years and could weigh on earnings from 2027 onward. Yahoo Finance’s average forecast cited in the article puts 2027 revenue at $306 billion, up 20%, and earnings per share at $33.87, up 8%. If that EPS forecast is met, Di Pizio says a valuation at the Nasdaq-100’s current 34.1 P/E would imply a 59% share-price gain and a $3 trillion market value. Meta was not among Stock Advisor’s 10 stock picks.
