Tony Garcia, Carlos Monarrez, Rainer Sabin and Shawn Windsor predicted Michigan victories by scores of 19-13, 16-13, 20-16 and 19-16, respectively. Jeff Seidel was the lone Iowa pick, citing Michigan’s No. 109-ranked passing offense and No. 90 rushing game.
The game is Kyle Whittingham’s first against Big Ten competition as Michigan’s coach. The article says he previously spent 22 seasons at Iowa but had never faced Hawkeyes coach Kirk Ferentz on a football field.
