Former Steelers GM Kevin Colbert was inducted into the team’s 2026 Hall of Honor. Mike Tomlin congratulated him in a post, writing, “Words can’t express what this man means to me.” Pittsburgh won two Super Bowls during Colbert’s more than 21 years with the franchise.
Colbert first joined Pittsburgh as director of football operations and later became general manager. The article says he was one of the reasons the Steelers gave Tomlin the head coaching role; Tomlin spent 19 years with the franchise.
Cornerback J.T. Thomas and guard Craig Wolfley were also inducted in the 2026 class. Colbert, who grew up in the Pittsburgh area, said he never imagined being honored alongside the players, coaches and administrators he watched and worked with. He said the induction brought those experiences to the forefront.
