Microsoft shares rallied Friday after it unveiled new AI features for redesigned Copilot: full Word, Excel and PowerPoint functions, a Home hub combining Chat and Cowork for multi-step tasks, natural-language coding and personal-agent features in Autopilot.
Stifel analyst Brad Reback upgraded Microsoft from hold to buy and raised his price target to $575 from $530. The new target implies an 11% potential gain for investors buying near Friday’s $516.17 close. Reback expects Copilot to help revenue grow at least at a mid-teens rate in coming years and expects Azure to gain efficiency as semiconductor chips, open-source AI models and software improve.
