Alexia Jocelyn Flores, 24, was arrested Wednesday and charged with grand theft after a Miami man she met on Tinder accused her of taking two watches from his apartment, including a Rolex he valued at $37,000. Flores denied taking them.
Police said the pair met on Tinder, went to dinner and returned to the man’s Brickell apartment on Sept. 20. After several hours of drinking, he asked Flores to leave around 2:30 a.m. Surveillance footage reportedly showed them kissing goodbye by the elevator. The man said the watches were missing from a bedside nightstand after she left in an Uber, and later identified Flores in a six-person photo lineup.
Flores acknowledged meeting the man and going to his apartment but denied taking the watches. She told investigators she believed she had been drugged and could not recall what happened afterward; police said they could not find a separate report documenting that allegation. She was booked on the grand-theft charge, with bond set at $7,500 as of Thursday morning.
