Miami beat Central Michigan 52-3, overcoming an early 3-0 deficit and scoring 35 points before halftime. Darian Mensah threw for 338 yards and three touchdowns and ran for another score as the Hurricanes gained 572 yards to CMU’s 158.
Malachi Toney caught six passes for 120 yards and a touchdown, while Chris Wheatley-Humphrey led Miami with 104 rushing yards on 11 carries and a score. Marquise Lightfoot recorded two sacks and 2.5 tackles for loss.
Miami was penalized 13 times for 107 yards. The Hurricanes’ next game is an ACC road trip to Clemson next Saturday.
