Plastic surgeons interviewed by HuffPost say they are seeing more men seek facelifts, often to address a softened jawline, jowls, fullness under the chin and vertical neck bands. Many want a refreshed appearance without making the surgery obvious.
Men quoted in the article said Botox, filler and laser treatments helped with some concerns but did not address loose skin or structural changes in the lower face and neck. Surgeons said many men worry about looking noticeably different; one described tailoring incisions to the beard and hairline and avoiding skin tension to help preserve a natural result.
One patient said swelling and healing made it difficult to judge the result at first. Another said he returned to work in about two to two and a half weeks and that no one really noticed anything.
