The Memphis Redbirds beat the Rochester Red Wings 15-4 in Game 2 of the International League Championship Series on Sept. 23, tying the series and setting up a decisive Game 3 at 6:45 p.m. Sept. 24 in Memphis. Jimmy Crooks drove in five runs.
Memphis scored four runs in the second inning to lead 4-0, then added nine in the third for a 13-0 advantage. Crooks had two hits, including his second home run in as many nights and 16th of the season; Trey Paige had two hits and three RBIs.
Redbirds starter Mason Molina held Rochester to one hit over five innings, striking out six and walking two. The Red Wings won Game 1, 4-3, on Sept. 22.
