Steelers coach Mike McCarthy said Wednesday he is not worried about DK Metcalf's slow start: the receiver has eight catches for 67 yards and no touchdowns through two games, including four catches for 27 yards in Pittsburgh's 20-3 loss to New England.
Metcalf was targeted nine times against New England and dropped two passes as Pittsburgh struggled to create explosive plays. McCarthy said after the loss that the offense lacked execution and detail, and took responsibility for its struggles.
Metcalf has recorded three 1,000-yard seasons and entered 2026 with 54 career receiving touchdowns.
