Pat McAfee said ESPN’s “College GameDay” would travel to Iowa City next week if the No. 17 Hawkeyes beat Michigan on Saturday, bringing the show to Iowa’s campus for the first time since Sept. 30, 2006.
In that 2006 appearance, Iowa lost 38-17 to No. 1 Ohio State. The show also covered the Iowa-Iowa State rivalry in Ames in 2019 and 2021, but neither broadcast was in Iowa City.
