Cult of Mac estimates M4 owners could pay about $300–$400 for the new M6 Mac mini after trade-in. The M6 starts at $899, and Apple lists Mac mini trade-in values up to $620, though offers vary with the device’s condition.
On Sept. 25, Malone Hedges posted on X that he paid $542.04 for a Mac mini the previous December and Apple offered $565 to buy it back. His post did not identify the model.
Apple says the M6 offers up to 40% faster CPU performance than the M4, twice-faster graphics and storage, and up to four times the AI performance. The 2026 model also adds Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6 and upgraded 2.5Gb Ethernet.
