Galil Importing is recalling Lior Cinnamon Ground Seasoning after a Maryland health department sample showed elevated lead. The 90-gram product was distributed in six states. The FDA advises consumers to discard it or return it to the store for a refund.
The affected containers carry UPC 794711005484 and lot code GAP11304, printed on the side below the ingredient line. They were distributed to retailers in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Texas, Florida and Illinois from Nov. 18, 2025, through Sept. 7, 2026. No illnesses have been reported.
The FDA announced the recall on Sept. 24 and said Galil had notified customers to stop distributing and selling the seasoning and to hold remaining inventory. Galil said it initiated a voluntary recall, is investigating its supplier and has implemented enhanced testing and supplier verification.
