Lions guard Christian Mahogany and tackle Blake Miller are on track to return for Sunday’s game against the Jets at Ford Field after full practices Friday and no game designations. They still must get through warmups and the game without a setback.
Detroit was without both in its 41-31 loss to Buffalo and leaned more heavily on depth. Though the offense scored 31 points, it fell into an early hole and struggled to sustain its run game. Mahogany’s potential return would help a guard group affected by injuries and changing combinations; rookie Miller missed the Buffalo game with a knee injury.
