The Seattle Mariners placed infielder Brock Rodden on the 10-day injured list, retroactive to Sept. 23, with inflammation in his left patellar tendon. They activated infielder Leo Rivas to take his place for the final weekend of the regular season.
Rodden, a rookie utility infielder, finished the season with a .197 batting average, .306 on-base percentage and .279 slugging percentage in 30 games and 72 plate appearances. He cooled after a hot initial stretch and struggled to make consistent contact, though his plate discipline helped him draw walks.
Rivas, 28, struggled to provide depth early in 2026 after a strong showing for Seattle the previous season, but performed better after returning to the majors in August. He is likely to receive only sporadic playing time in the final regular-season games.
