Lawrence’s 12-yard TD puts Jaguars 7-0 ahead of Patriots in Week 3

SB Nation

Jacksonville leads New England 7-0 in the second quarter of their NFL Week 3 game after Trevor Lawrence threw a 12-yard touchdown to Josh Cameron. The Jaguars scored after recovering a fumble by Patriots quarterback Drake Maye.

Both teams punted on their opening possessions. On Jacksonville’s scoring drive, Parker Washington caught an 18-yard pass on third down, then the Jaguars’ running game moved them just outside the red zone.

Both teams entered at 1-1. New England had lost its opener and then beaten Pittsburgh, while Jacksonville won its opener before losing in Denver. A Patriots win would give them their first 2-1 start since 2020; they had opened each of the previous five seasons 1-2.
