The family of a San Francisco landlord on trial for allegedly killing a tenant has listed the Outer Sunset home for $6,300 a month, nearly double the victim’s former $3,200 rent. The 58-year-old tenant was shot in the front yard in May and later died.
The online listing does not mention the shooting. The broker told ABC7 that prospective tenants are being informed; California requires landlords to disclose an on-site death within the previous three years and the manner of death.
The victim’s son alleged that the landlord wanted to get rid of the tenant so he could sell the home. The report says the property cannot change hands while the case is in court, though it has appeared on rental platforms including Zillow.
