Penn State WR Koby Howard will miss an extended period with an undisclosed injury, coach Matt Campbell said Wednesday. The injury is not season-ending, but Howard will miss Saturday’s Big Ten opener against Wisconsin; his return timeline is unclear.
Howard had a team-high 344 receiving yards and 12 catches. Chase Sowell is second on the team with 126 receiving yards; Penn State may also turn to tight end Ben Brahmer, Brett Eskildsen and Zay Robinson to help replace Howard’s production.
