Orphaned koala joey Chicken, found alone in Queensland, is doing well at the RSPCA Wildlife Hospital. Given a plush chicken drumstick for comfort, he was transferred to a wildlife carer after an all-clear; koala kindergarten is next when he is ready.
The hospital said Chicken was found alone on the ground, possibly after a fall. The toy was meant to simulate holding on to his mother. When he is ready, koala kindy will help him build strength, socialise and learn skills before an eventual return to the wild.
