Raiders quarterback Kirk Cousins threw three touchdown passes in each of his first two games with the team, both wins, and is tied for the NFL lead. The Raiders say he is the ninth quarterback since 1950 to do the same in a new team's first two games.
Cousins is the first Raiders quarterback since Ken Stabler to throw at least three touchdown passes in the first two games of a season. Stabler did it in 1976, when the Raiders went on to win their first Super Bowl.
Since becoming a full-time starter in 2015, Cousins has thrown at least three touchdown passes in 44 games, the fourth-highest total in that span.
