Kinross cuts production outlook as shares fall 12.7%

Motley Fool

Kinross Gold shares were down 12.7% at 3:12 p.m. ET after the company cut its 2026 gold-equivalent production forecast to 1.84–1.86 million ounces, from about 2 million. It expects the same range in 2027.

Kinross attributed the lower forecast to adverse weather that hindered operations at La Coipa in Chile and lower mining rates at Round Mountain in Nevada. The company also raised its 2026 attributable all-in sustaining cost forecast to $1,850–$1,900 per gold-equivalent ounce sold, up from its initial forecast of $1,730.
