The Siasat Daily reported that a 12-foot python was found in a residential area of Karnataka, India, trying to swallow a pet dog it had killed. Residents called rescuer Ashok, who captured it with his team and released it in a forested area.
Ashok said residents should not try to catch, attack or kill snakes found in residential areas; they should contact trained rescuers or the relevant authorities instead.
