On Sept. 22, a New York judge found Silvio Scaglia in civil and criminal contempt over divorce orders, ordered his immediate 14-day incarceration and issued a no-bail arrest warrant. The ruling came days after Julia Haart announced their divorce was final.
Court papers say Justice Jeffrey Pearlman found Scaglia knowingly and willfully violated orders, partly by transferring company interests and moving assets despite restrictions on disposing of marital property during the divorce. Haart told Us Weekly that Scaglia moved Freedom Holding, which held interests including Elite World Group, out of their jointly owned structure and filed documents naming himself its sole owner. His representatives did not respond to Page Six's request for comment. The reporting does not establish a separate criminal indictment; the criminal-contempt finding was made within the divorce proceeding.
Scaglia faced a 20-day jail order in June 2024 after missing a contempt hearing and failing to pay nearly $300,000 in court-ordered legal fees; Us Weekly reported he did not serve it. In April 2026, an appeals court upheld a default judgment for violations but sent parts of the financial awards back for further findings and ordered sums Haart had received into escrow. Page Six reported Haart received full ownership of Elite World Group and the Tribeca home; Us Weekly put direct cash awards at at least $17.4 million, plus half of an estimated $25 million in disputed withdrawals.
