JPMorgan trims Tesla’s 2026 and 2027 earnings forecasts before delivery report

JPMorgan cut Tesla earnings estimates for 2026 and 2027 ahead of the company’s upcoming delivery report. Yahoo Finance’s Brian Sozzi said further analyst reductions may signal a downside surprise despite lower expectations; SpaceX launched Starship Flight 14 this week.

Sozzi said JPMorgan was concerned about what Elon Musk might say on capital spending at Tesla’s earnings report, as the company invests in AI, data centers, robots and Tesla Semis.

Tesla is also set to unveil the Roadster. Sozzi cited reports that it could cost more than $250,000, said he did not expect high sales and described it as a halo car meant to build excitement for Tesla’s wider business.
