Oil rises as U.S. stocks fall; Trump expects more Iran talks

TheStreet

U.S. stocks fell and oil prices rose Monday amid renewed tensions with Iran. President Donald Trump said Sunday he expects U.S. negotiators to hold more talks this week, a day after rejecting Iran’s proposal to end the war.

Stocks had closed higher Friday as oil prices cooled and Treasury yields eased. Capital.com analyst Kyle Rodda said some crude was still trickling out of the Persian Gulf while Iran struggled to maintain control of the Strait, and markets were pricing in a less acute supply shock than at the start of the war.

Separately, Nvidia released two new open-source tools, OpenShell and Nvidia Sentry, designed to help control rogue AI agents.
