Jonathan Robles, 36, was arrested and faces charges of murder and criminal possession of a weapon after a 63-year-old woman was found with multiple stab wounds and pronounced dead in Central Park on Sunday. Police withheld her identity and circumstances pending an autopsy.
A 911 caller reported finding her body around 9:43 a.m. ET Sunday near a walking trail by East Drive and East 74th Street. Police said they know of no relationship between Robles and the woman.
