Bears coach Ben Johnson says no quarterback will be added before Monday night’s Eagles game. With Caleb Williams sidelined by a hamstring injury and Tyson Bagent in concussion protocol, Case Keenum is the presumptive starter and rookie Miller Moss is the primary backup.
Williams is week-to-week and considered unlikely to play; Bagent has not practiced all week. Keenum has not taken a regular-season snap since 2023, and Moss has never appeared in an NFL game. If both are unavailable, Chicago has no third quarterback on the roster. The Chicago Sun-Times reported the team had gamed out non-quarterbacks for emergencies, including running back Roschon Johnson, tight end Cole Kmet and receiver Rome Odunze.
Johnson said he was comfortable with the depth, defending it as a group with three players who could play and had won games in the league. As of midweek, he had not committed to naming Keenum the starter.
