Steelers cornerback Joey Porter Jr. appears unlikely to make his 2026 season debut against the Bengals on Sunday, Tom Pelissero of The Ringer reports. Pelissero says Porter is trending toward a return soon, though a trade remains possible.

Porter missed all of training camp while seeking a new contract. He was placed on the PUP list with a back injury, but that designation was later removed; conditioning is now his only designation on the injury report.
